About History and Historical Awareness
Let's think for a moment about history and historical perception. Humans are historical animals. People have written history based on various events that happened in the past. There is a tremendous amount of history left behind in this way. We can recognize history by reading and studying them. But history is full of lies and falsehoods. It is not uncommon for important things to be erased or hidden from history. Even if the history itself is the same, the learning that can be obtained will be greatly different depending on the way of recognition. How should we understand history and how should we perceive it? What can we learn from history? Also, how should we write history from now on?
